Legal Profiles is the leading guide to Australian law firms, assessing and ranking law firms in their specialist practice areas. The 2001 - 2002 Edition of Legal Profiles recognises Australian Business Lawyers as one of Sydney's leading employment and industrial relations practices.
Our firm came fifth overall out of 28 Sydney firms, leading the "Highly Recommended" category ahead of top tier national players such as Clayton Utz, Mallesons, Allens Arthur Robinson, Phillips Fox, Corrs Chambers Westgarth, Andersen Legal and Deacons. We also out-performed all other specialist employment law practices.
The assessment process for Legal Profiles included client and peer reviews and assessed factors such as quality/accuracy of advice, understanding clients' needs and business, responsiveness, providing clear written and oral communication, general commercial awareness, value for money and availability of partners.
The survey responses emphasised our customer focus and high levels of client satisfaction. Australian Business Lawyers was described by our clients as "knowledgeable, cost effective" and "very impressive in terms of skill, practicality of advice and responsiveness to client needs and timelines". One client commented that our firm "is not driven by time allocation and cost recovery to the extent that I have experienced with other law firms, whilst at the same time do[es] not compromise standards".
