Karina is a senior solicitor practising in the area of commercial litigation and dispute resolution.
She has had more than a decade’s experience which includes providing advice on a broad range of general commercial and intellectual property matters, and acting for commercial parties and insurers in disputes concerning commercial and property transactions.
Karina has worked in top-tier law firms and as a senior legal advisor for both a multi-national finance company and a well known technology company. She has acted for corporations, government organisations, insurers and developers in disputes regarding infrastructure assets, commercial agreements, finance arrangements, trade practices, insurance, negligence and fraud.
As an in-house legal advisor, she successfully drafted and negotiated a multitude of complex commercial and IP licensing agreements, and has managed numerous large-scale commercial and intellectual property transactions. She also developed and implemented robust and enduring compliance programs in relation to trade practices, anti-money laundering and privacy laws. She has had extensive experience dealing with regulators and was also the Privacy Officer for the Australian and New Zealand operations of a multi-national technology company.
Prior to joining the firm she managed her own successful practice as a sole principal practitioner, during which time she acted for a number of small to medium sized business predominantly in the area of litigation and dispute resolution.
