Alana is an Associate practising in the workplace and employment team. She joined Australian Business Lawyers & Advisors in 2021. She has a keen interest in employment law, industrial law and work health and safety law.
Immediately prior to joining ABLA, Alana held the role of Associate to the Hon Justice Michael Walton of the Supreme Court of NSW for five years (2016-2021). There she had broad exposure to matters within the Common Law Division and Court of Criminal Appeal. She has extensive experience undertaking legal research and complex drafting across numerous areas of civil and criminal law. This unique experience has very much shaped her approach to practise. She brings a strong appreciation for the approach taken by the courts when preparing advice.
Alana has significant experience in advocacy and policy work through her involvement with the Law Society of NSW Public Law Committee (2020-2021). She is also the current Chair of the NSW Young Lawyers Public Law & Government Committee.
In 2016, she graduated from the University of Notre Dame Australia with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours). In 2021, she commenced a Master of Laws at the University of Sydney with a focus upon employment and industrial law.
