David joined ABLA in March 2020, where he has prepared advices to businesses concerning COVID-19, termination of employment and employee misconduct.
He brings to ABLA varied educational and professional experience. Graduating with first class honours in Law, he has undertaken postgraduate coursework and doctoral research.
David was paralegal in an employment law and workplace relations team at a top tier law firm for a number of years. There he had extensive experience, undertaking legal research and drafting numerous publications. He was seconded to the NSW Road Transport Association, fielding general inquiries from members and assisting in disputes in the NSW Industrial Relations Commission.
After working as the tipstaff for Justice Macfarlan of the Court of Appeal of the NSW Supreme Court, David was employed as a solicitor, assisting in the drafting of executive contracts, the termination of employment relationships, and the preparation of evidence and submissions for hearing.
He has worked in a legal and non-legal capacity at high levels in the Catholic Church in Sydney. He has also lectured and tutored at the tertiary level.
